Chris R. Spence, MD

Christopher R. Spence, MD is a Board Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA on a full scholarship through the Health Profession Scholarship Program earning his doctorate in 1996. As an active duty soldier in the US Army, he completed general surgery internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Following his time at Madigan, Dr. Spence spent four years at Reynolds Community Hospital at Fort Sill, OK. He was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. In 2005, upon completion of his military service, Dr. Spence moved to Roseburg. Dr. Spence performs a wide range of surgical and endoscopic procedures and has a special interest in the treatment of breast and colon cancer.

Bret R. Hansen. MD

Bret R. Hansen, MD is a Board Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, while receiving a Health Professions Scholarship. He completed his General Surgery training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He served as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps for 4 years, including a deployment as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Hansen has been practicing General Surgery in Roseburg since 2002. He performs a wide range of surgical and endoscopic procedures.

Brent L. Soder, MD

Dr. Brent L. Soder is a board certified General Surgeon at Centennial Surgery. He received a Bachelor of Science from Furman University, a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from University of South Carolina, and completed his Medical Doctorate from Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston, SC).

Dr. Soder completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine (Chattanooga, TN) and served as chief resident with that program from July 2017 to June 2018. He returned to his hometown in 2018 and joined Centennial Surgery.

Dr. Soder performs a wide range of surgical and endoscopic procedures and has a special interest in the treatment of breast cancer and inguinal hernias.

When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Soder enjoys taking adventures with his family in beautiful Oregon outdoors.

Jenni Nix, MD, MPH, TM, FACS

Jenni Nix, MD, MPH, TM & FACS is a Board Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Nix practices the broad range of general surgery, with special interests in robotic anti-reflux and foregut surgery, hernia repairs, surgical management of thyroid disease, and the care of patients with breast cancer. She believes in a whole person approach to health, with additional interests in patient education and nutrition.

Alex M. Spencer, MD, MBA

Dr. Alex Spencer, MD, MBA is a Surgeon and a member of the American Board of Surgery with certifications in advanced life support for Cardiac, Trauma and Pediatrics. He is a graduate of University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Dr. Spencer practices a broad range of surgical care, including robotic surgery.

When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Spencer enjoys snowboarding, pottery and backcountry motorcycling.
